چکیده

The Fortran 90 separable Hamiltonian system solver Hamint 90 permits a wide choice of symplectic and non-symplectic integrators, and xed step size and local error-controlled (variable step size) integrations. We report on numerical experiments comparing xed step size and error-controlled strategies for various Hamiltonian systems and time scales.

Testing a Fortran 90 Separable Hamiltonian System Solver Department of Mathematics Southern Methodist University Testing a Fortran 90 Separable Hamiltonian System Solver

We discuss a prototype Fortran 90 separable Hamiltonian system solver and present a template illustrating its use. The solver permits a wide choice of symplectic and non-symplectic integrators, and xed and error-controlled integration step sizes. It is designed to permit insertion of new formulas as they become available. We report on numerical experiments which show the clear superiority of th...

Using multifrontal hierarchically solver and HPC systems for 3D Helmholtz problem

We present a multi-frontal hierarchically semi-separable solver to perform forward modeling of the 3D Helmholtz acoustic problem. Our frequency-domain solver combines two efficient approaches. First, it uses an optimal 27-point finite-difference scheme to decrease numerical dispersion and reduce required discretization of the model in terms of points per wavelength from 15 to about 4. Second, i...

Dilations‎, ‎models‎, ‎scattering and spectral problems of 1D discrete Hamiltonian systems

In this paper, the maximal dissipative extensions of a symmetric singular 1D discrete Hamiltonian operator with maximal deficiency indices (2,2) (in limit-circle cases at ±∞) and acting in the Hilbert space ℓ_{Ω}²(Z;C²) (Z:={0,±1,±2,...}) are considered. We consider two classes dissipative operators with separated boundary conditions both at -∞ and ∞. For each of these cases we establish a self...

Some combinatorial aspects of finite Hamiltonian groups

In this paper we provide explicit formulas for the number of elements/subgroups/cyclic subgroups of a given order and for the total number of subgroups/cyclic subgroups in a finite Hamiltonian group. The coverings with three proper subgroups and the principal series of such a group are also counted. Finally, we give a complete description of the lattice of characteristic subgroups of a finite H...
